A few weeks ago, I added several more vintage advertising books to my collection. Among the new arrivals, was a copy of a 1927 edition of Cupid's Book, published in Portland, Oregon. This advertising slash recipe book slash guide for brides was absolutely fabulous, but the two-page advertisement for Bartlett Nu W.H.Y. sparked my curiosity and I spent a few hours researching the product and the numerous professional articles pointing out Bartlett's fraudulent claims. I have added screen-captures of the best articles below ~

Vintage Cook Book Files: Hungarian-American Cook Book, Part 1
I picked up a copy of Madame Rosa Green's Hungarian-American Cook Book (second revised edition, 1948) on a recent haul. This fabulous newspaper clipping celebrating Mrs. Kovacs Tik Tak Restaurant has been tucked between recipes for Date Cake and Love Letters since early 1965 (based on the movie listings printed on the back of the article, see below).
