Bartlett Nu W.H.Y - Quackery At Its Best

A few weeks ago, I added several more vintage advertising books to my collection. Among the new arrivals, was a copy of a 1927 edition of Cupid's Book, published in Portland, Oregon. This advertising slash recipe book slash guide for brides was absolutely fabulous, but the two-page advertisement for Bartlett Nu W.H.Y.  sparked my curiosity and I spent a few hours researching the product and the numerous professional articles pointing out Bartlett's fraudulent claims.
